Júlia Nagy received the Female Entrepreneur of the Year award in the field of sustainability
In 2023, Júlia Nagy, the co-manager of Innotime Hungary Kft., won the “Female entrepreneur of the year in the name of sustainability” award created by the SEED Small Business Development Foundation and the Successful Women’s Association. On October 27, Júlia Nagy received recognition from the head of the SEED Foundation, Zsuzsanna Lakatosné Lukács, and from the national leadership of the National Association of Entrepreneurs for her outstanding achievements in the development of sustainable tourism.
Sustainable tourism development and protection of future generations
The goal of the family business, Innotime Hungary Kft., founded in 2018, is for Hungarian tourism to develop in the spirit of sustainability, becoming equal to the sustainability efforts that have already started at the international level. The managers of the company, who have more than two decades of experience in the field of regional development and tourism, place great emphasis on supporting tourist destinations and businesses with environmentally friendly, economically and socially sustainable solutions.
For Júlia Nagy, who is the mother of two children, it is extremely important that Hungary’s natural and cultural treasures can be preserved for future generations. With this approach, they launched their sustainability projects, the aim of which is for domestic destinations to catch up with global sustainability processes.
Success and international recognition
Innotime Hungary achieved significant success in 2023: the sustainability projects of Miskolc and Veszprém, as well as the initiatives of Esztergom, Sárvár, Tokaj-Hegyalja and Veszprém, were included in the world’s 100 best sustainable projects. In the coming period, as part of the Slovenian-Hungarian Interreg tender, Sárvár and Hévíz can also obtain the Green Destinations qualification, and additional sustainability pilot programs can be launched in the border regions.
At the beginning of 2024, Innotime also launched a mentoring program, thanks to which nearly two dozen domestic tourism businesses can obtain the Good Travel Seal international certification by the end of the year. According to the company’s plans, their self-developed software, which helps the development and monitoring of sustainable tourism, will soon be on the market.
