Nagy István: grants and programs help increase the competitiveness of beekeeping
The Hungarian beekeeping program, the honey promotion campaigns, and the Year of Pollinators announced this year are all intended to boost the competitiveness of the sector and increase the efficiency of beekeeping activities – the Minister of Agriculture said at a press conference in Budapest on Friday.
Nagy István explained that in order to increase efficiency, the agrarian ministry set aside 600 million, HUF which will help nearly 20,000 beekeepers who have 1.2 million bee colonies, with an income support of 500 HUF per bee family. (MTI)
