István Nagy: common interest is the success of Hungarian wine
The success of Hungarian wine is a common interest, and at the same time a nation-building force. In addition to the government’s support, its reputation can be most effectively increased through collaboration, cooperation, attitude formation, innovations and changes – said the Minister of Agriculture at the opening of the 43rd national wine competition in Budapest on Tuesday.
István Nagy called the winemakers the “forerunners” of Hungarian agriculture, because their activity foreshadows the challenges that await European agriculture years in advance and shows the possibilities for solutions, he said.
László Pál Rókusfalvy, the government commissioner responsible for national wine marketing, emphasized that market success is just as important for winemakers as the continuation of traditions. In order to do this, all data and research results affecting the sector must be monitored on a daily basis, as well as opportunities for building relationships, which can ensure the future of producers, he added.
