Nagy István: 21st Century Developments in the Tokaj Wine Region
The Tokaj Wine Region entered the twenty-first century with a series of investments made between 2016 and 2019 by local government participants with 8.2 billion HUF domestic funding – the Minister of Agriculture said in Bodrogkisfalud, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County.
Nagy István explained that the Hungarian winemakers have always been able to produce top wines that have attracted worldwide attention, but there is still room for improvement in the quality of average wines. The community wine center, first established in the Tokaj Wine Region and serving as an example for other wine regions, serves to balance quality. (MTI)
