Our workers are the source of our success

SPAR Hungary pays special attention to the professional progress of its employees: they can participate in SPAR’s own training programmes, in OKJ courses and in the SPAR e-learning programme. One of the highlighted projects in 2013 was the TOP Shop Assistant education programme, with more than 50 workers participating. Those working at SPAR also have the opportunity to spend a couple of weeks in Austria, taking a look into how SPAR stores in Austria are working, with the help of a local mentor. Those with a college or university degree can also start a career at SPAR Hungary, while vocational school and college/university students can spend their professional practice period at various SPAR locations, from stores to the logistics centre or the meat plant in Bicske. In 2013 the company organised its SPAR Excellent Student competition for the third time for trade vocational school students.
