Cora started workplace training programmes
Hungarian Cora hypermarkets (of which there are seven) belong to the Louis Delhaize Group. The chain opened its first Hungarian unit in May 1997. Cora hypermarkets have an average floor space of 12,000m². Among Hungarian hypermarkets Cora was the first to introduce the HACCP food safety system. Waste is collected selectively in nearly all Cora stores and they were the first to organise disposable PET bottle return in certain stores. From September 2010 Cora started training programmes for employees in their Budakalász, Fót and Szeged stores. The programme is supported by the EU’s TÁMOP initiative with HUF 85 million and involves 200 employees.
