Labor shortage affects Hungarian vegetable production
The lack of labor force is a growing problem in the fruit and vegetable sector, which can now have a negative impact on the quality of crops as well – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
This year, the market of canned cucumbers and peppers, and the asparagus suffered the most from labor force problems, while the weather destroyed the green peas and cabbages the most. At the same time, the high VAT content of vegetables and fruit products is still worrying, which results in a spectacular decrease in consumption year after year. (agrarszektor.hu)
