Multisensory experiences
Very often retailers only concentrate on what shoppers see when creating the interior of a store. However, if they wish to really impress customers, they also need to pay attention to what consumers hear, smell and touch in-store. It has to be decided what a brand’s message is and how it should be communicated in a given space. The next step is creating the mood, choosing the music to be played, the fragrances to be used and the materials that shoppers will touch. All of these factors influence customers and stimulating all senses at the same time is a big challenge for retailers.
