Co-op removes plastic from Easter eggs in the UK
British retailer Co-op has removed the plastic packaging from its private label Easter eggs. The move will result in over 14 tonnes of plastic not being used. This isn’t the first step that the retailer has taken to remove unnecessary plastic: Co-op has already switched to bottles made of 100 percent recycled material for its private label mineral waters and soft drinks.
