MTÜ: domestic tourism in July may exceed last year’s record
After the summer months that set a domestic record last year, the number of guest nights of Hungarian tourists in Hungary increased further in July this year, the Deputy CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) said in Zalakaros.
Könnyid László said at the inauguration of the Karos Korzó in the new city center that according to preliminary data, more than 5.2 million guest nights are expected from domestic tourists in July, but the number of bookings will already exceed 3.2 million by August. Based on this, it is expected that the number of domestic guest nights in July may increase by as much as one tenth, compared to last year’s record. (MTI)
