From now on, not everyone can order cash on delivery in domestic webshops
It is often a challenge for online stores that some of the packages ordered by cash on delivery are not picked up by their customers, causing serious costs in terms of delivery, return delivery and packaging. However, a new software, Cash on Delivery Checker, can offer an effective solution to this problem.
Cash-on-delivery purchases are still extremely popular in Hungary, and it often happens that customers do not receive the package without notification, thereby putting a burden on online stores. According to István Zabari, the vice president of E-Commerce Hungary, the problem occurs when the consumer does not give notice that he does not wish to receive the package, and the online stores have to bear the costs of shipping there and back.
However, the Cash on Delivery Checker software makes it easier for online stores to check the reputation of customers even before they place a cash on delivery order. With the help of the program, merchants can see the customer’s order history even before committing to accept cash on delivery payment. As a result, customers who are notoriously non-recipients can only make purchases in advance until they receive positive feedback.
The Cash on Delivery Checker software currently operates in 1,300 online stores and offers a promising solution for online stores to the problem of unclaimed packages.
