From now on, takeaway is an additional fee at McDonald’s
As of September 1, the Hungarian McDonald’s restaurant chain Progress Restaurant Network Kft. introduced a uniform takeaway fee, which is charged for “all drive-thru purchases and takeaway orders in restaurants”, regardless of the value of the order – the company informed Telex .

It’s usually an additional fee of 80 HUF
According to the company’s statement, the takeaway fee is necessary to partially cover their increased additional costs for takeaway purchases.
“Our consumers can find out about the amount of the takeaway fee in the restaurant before making a purchase, and when redeeming a coupon, the amount will be indicated on the coupon”
– they write in their statement.
In a promotion launched in September, they already indicate that the price applies to consumption in the restaurant.
