Morrisons recommends sniff test over use-by dates
In a haste to prevent nearly 3.5 million litres of milk from being wasted, Morrisons removes use-by dates and encourages shoppers to use a sniff test to make out whether or not fresh milk is still usable. ‘Best before’ dates remain on milk bottles. In the UK milk is the third most wasted food and drink product after bread and potatoes.
