Kis-Márton Vidor, founder and CEO of Continest, which develops and manufactures collapsible containers, emphasized that they cannot really compete with Asia or Turkey in the traditional container market, but they can with their innovative solutions. Therefore, their company, with a production capacity of 2,400 containers per year, does not develop mass products, he added, also indicating that the product just presented is already available at their partners in Norway and the Benelux countries, and they want to break into other foreign markets with it.
A response to the increase in the number of electric cars
Anita Simon, Alteo Nyrt.’s deputy general manager responsible for sustainability and circular economy, emphasized that since the beginning, a lot of emphasis has been placed on sustainability, and e-mobility and the greening of transport are such areas. – The mobile charging container offers a sustainable solution as a result of the cooperation of domestic companies and fully satisfies market needs – he said. András Cser-Palkovics, the Fidesz mayor of Székesfehérvár, spoke about the continuous increase in the number of cars with green license plates and electric buses in the city, and for their further spread, the expansion of charging capacities is necessary. The new charging container offers a quick solution for this, as well as for charging electric cars in “no man’s land”, for example at a festival where many people can arrive with e-cars.
It can be installed anywhere
According to the press release, CONTe-GO is a standard-sized, easy-to-transport, industrial premium container, with a 22-kilowatt (3x32A) alternating current (AC) electric car charger (with Type2 connection) installed on its three vertical walls, so it is suitable for charging three electric cars at the same time. but it can also charge electric bicycles and electric scooters. The container, realized with the exemplary cooperation of three industry players, can be placed anywhere, connected to the electricity network and safely put into operation in minutes. In those industries where the workplace is not at a permanent location (construction industry, event industry, container cities), there is a real need for a special solution for charging e-cars. When asked by MTI, Dániel Tegzes, strategy director of Continest, said that the selling price of the 10-foot container with 3 chargers is approximately HUF nine million, but they are already developing the standard 20-foot unit, which will be able to charge five cars at the same time. According to public company data, Continest Technologies Zrt. achieved a profit of HUF 33 million in 2021 with net sales of HUF 1.836 billion. According to Vidor Kis-Márton, their net sales in the last business year were HUF 3.6 billion.
