MNB: the digitalisation of the financial sector has improved further
After the pandemic, the digital transformation of the financial sector gained new momentum: an increasingly wide range of banking products is available digitally, and more than 80 percent of customers already use digital banking channels, Szombati Anikó, Managing Director of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) described the latest 2022 FinTech and digitization report on Monday.
She added that at the same time, the domestic FinTech sector continued to expand, with almost 150 active FinTech companies operating in the country, employing more than 8,000 people and with a combined turnover of more than 170 billion HUF. The level of digitalisation of insurers was also examined, which strengthened compared to the level a year earlier, but can still be assessed as medium overall. (MTI)
