MNB: prices in January increased mainly due to higher food prices
Inflation rose by 0.5 percentage point month-on-month in January, mainly due to an increase in the price index for food, and to a lesser extent for industrial goods and market services.

MNB: mainly rising food prices have fueled inflation
Core inflation rose by 1.0 percentage point, as the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) said in its comments on the January inflation data, all three product groups – processed food, manufactured goods and services – contributed to the acceleration. (MTI)
