MNB: the six month increase of core inflation stopped in April
Seasonally adjusted annual core inflation remained unchanged in April, remained 3.8 percent as in the previous month, hence the increase of the indicator lasted for more than half a year has stopped – according to the Hungarian National Bank’s (MNB) analysis on the April inflation data.
In April, the Comprehensive Consumer Price Index increased by 0.2 percentage points from the 3.7 percent of March to 3.9 percent, but the core inflation indicators calculated by the central bank and the inflation basic indicators did not follow it. (MTI)
