MLBKT: the purchasing manager index continued to rise

The seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers ’Index (PMI) for July rose to 55.6 from 55.0 points in June. According to this, the respondents reported more favorable developments in the fourth month, compared to the previous month, the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) said on Monday.

This year’s value is above the 52.6-point long-term July average and above the 51.0-point average of the past three years.
Among the sub-indices, the volume of new orders and the volume of production continued to show a dynamic increase, the volume of inventories purchased almost maintained the strong growth rate of the previous month, and the employment sub-index also lost only minimally from the rate of increase.
