MLBKT: PMI in September indicates modest growth
The seasonally adjusted September Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) is 51.8 points. The 50 points, or above value is indicating trends better than in the previous month – the Hungarian Logistics Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) announced on Tuesday.
However, the report adds that the September index is lower than the 52.6 points in August and in the last three years it has been lower only once; in July 2019 when it was 51.2 points. Overall, this year’s value is below the long-term average for September. Since 1995 it has been 52.8 points and the average for the last three years has been 57.1 points. (MTI)
