The Purchasing Manager Index increased well above average in May
The seasonally adjusted May value of the Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) rose to 57.9 points from 55.1 in April. The respondents of the survey reported more favorable processes compared to the previous month – the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Stock Company (MTBKT) announced on Monday.
The May 2019 index is much higher than the 52.7-point long-term data measured since May 1995 and the 55.7-point indicator for the past three years. (MTI)
