MLBKT: PMI declined in February
The seasonally adjusted value of the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in February fell by 49.4 points from the 54.5 points of January – the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) announced on Monday.
Respondents reported less favorable developments, compared to the previous month, breaking the four-month trend. The pace of contraction is relatively mild, the company added.
A PMI above 50 percent indicates a recovery in manufacturing activity, and a value below 50 percent indicates a shift toward recession. (MTI)
