What makes myPOS more?
Businesses have instant access to their revenues, are able to use the E-Nyugta electronic receipt system, don’t have unnecessary service use costs, and can manage their finances using single system – this what makes myPOS more, says Ferenc B. Tóth, owner and CEO of iqom who represents myPOS.
– What sets you apart from other service providers?
– MyPOS offers several payment technologies, but its most popular advantage is that retailers have instant access to their revenues in their myPOS account. The company’s philosophy is offering an all-in-one solution: you get everything in one service, without monthly fees. We offer an ecosystem, which from this year is complemented by the E-Nyugta system, which can be used to issue receipts and invoices – the latter is also sent to the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). Plus the system is National Tourism Data Supply Centre (NTAK) certified too. But E-Nyugta is much more than this, it is basically a business management system that enables SMEs to manage everything using a single device. Small businesses choose us because we have no loyalty period and no turnover requirements, while large customers such as DPD or Coca-Cola like the fact that our system can be easily integrated with their own systems.
– Past, present and future live together in payment solutions. Who can we say are the best partners for you?
– We are universal, but we have our target groups. SMEs are important because cost efficiency is the main focus for them. Clearly we offer the best value proposition to seasonal traders. At the moment the main focus is on wholesalers and distributors. Plus we are also concentrating on the hospitality sector, where NTAK compliance and its costs are a challenge. E-Nyugta offers a solution to this with the terminal. Festival organisers are interested in our plastic cup return vending machine.
– There are developments all the time in the different areas. What is the strength and future of myPOS?
– In Hungary there are more than 40 service providers offering their solutions, and pricing isn’t transparent – in most cases because the retailer doesn’t know how much they will pay for a transaction. Businesses have a difficult task. MyPOS is on a growth path that is exceptional in the European market. Advent closed its myPOS acquisitions earlier this year. They see a huge opportunity in myPOS, because it is growing very fast and financially very stable.
– Iqom has long been the best and most successful partner and representative of myPOS, having won many awards as well. What do you offer to your 12,000-strong partner base?
– Iqom has been representing myPOS in Hungary for more than 4 years. We have worked hard in the last few years to fully localise the service, and our relationship with myPOS is a very close, special partnership. We cooperate with Raiffeisen Bank, which is a rare example of good bank-fintech collaboration.
– How do you see the future? What is your vision for the MyPOS side of the business in 3-5 years?
– Iqom’s relationship with myPOS is exceptionally good. Our goal is to become the Hungarian market leader in 5 years’ time in and a key player in the region, offering the largest selection of services. We need to create the conditions for a major growth in the next 1-2 years. Payment services are evolving very fast and banks aren’t keeping up, which is bad for customers. (x)
