What a large company can do to reduce waste

As part of European Waste Reduction Week, HELL ENERGY raised awareness to the importance of using environmentally friendly packaging, disposable plastics and PET bottles through an online education campaign. The social media campaign reached nearly 120,000 people with ideas and practical advice that the company itself uses and can serve as an example to others.

Held in the last week of November each year, European Waste Reduction Week is the program’s mission to reach out to people and raise awareness of the importance of waste reduction – not just this one week, but in the long run. For a full week in the countries participating in the initiative, launched in 2009, enthusiastic volunteers use their own ideas to raise awareness of conscious waste management, waste prevention, waste reduction, product reuse and the importance of recycling.
