What do Hungarians think about festivals? – research
As in 2021, the Ynsight Research team examined discourses about domestic music festivals this year as well. Conversations in online communities and forums reveal countless interesting aspects that help us learn and understand the popularity of festivals, the appeal of its programs, and visitor feedback and experiences. In our article, we examine what are the most popular festivals this year, what topics arise in connection with going to festivals, and we also look for the answer to how foreigners relate to Hungarian festivals.
In the six-month period we examined, more than 16,000 online conversations focused on the topic of Hungarian music festivals, and these generated a total of 110,000 interactions. During our analysis, we took into account both Hungarian and foreign data. During our research, we mapped which festivals were the most intensively discussed online. In our investigation, we went into detail, separating the smaller and larger festivals, and then we compared how much attention these events receive both domestically and abroad. Based on the results, the Sziget Festival stood out, which aroused strong interest among netizens both at home and abroad.
