Domestic enterprises could enter the competition with innovation projects that had been implemented in practice and brought measurable business and social benefits in 2025.

A novelty in this year’s competition was that companies could also be included in the group of applicants with the recommendation of organizations with insight into domestic innovation. These organizations are partners in the competition as sponsors or co-organizers (MKIK, NAK, NIÜ, KIM, NKFIH), as well as the Entrepreneurship Club of Corvinus, the Hungarian Business Angel Network, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, Startup Hungary and STRT Holding. The nominating organizations nominated more than 230 domestic enterprises that have achieved outstanding innovation results for the award by November 30, it was recalled.

A total of more than 1,500 entries have been submitted to the call for applications since the grand prize was founded in 1991, of which 255 received various innovation awards, so the winners of these awards have formed the elite of domestic innovation, the Hungarian Innovation Club, for decades. The Innovation Trademark, recently awarded by the Innovation Coalition, established with the participation of MISZ at the initiative of the Hungarian National Bank and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has now been awarded to, among others, 9 companies that have previously won one of the MISZ innovation awards. Among the new trademark owners, 16 more companies competed for the Innovation Grand Prize this year, the announcement reads.

The judging committee has started evaluating the applications, the results will be published on the evening of March 18, on the eve of the Innosummit2026 conference, the winners will present themselves to the conference audience the next day, March 19 – announced the executive director of MISZ.
