At the two-day 18th Sheep Cooking Festival Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture said that the event is not only culinary but also a cultural feast.
The Minister announced that the Nagykunsági plum and quince pálinka will both receive origin protection.The receive such geographical origin protection – he said – that the Hungarian Origin Defense Council (MRT) has been approved and will have a similar-level protection in the European Union as the Gönci and Kecskeméti apricot or Szatmári plum pálinka.
