HIPA provides approximately HUF 300 million in support for the investment of the chocolate factory in Szerencs
The National Investment Agency (HIPA) provided almost HUF 300 million in support in the Competitiveness Program for the HUF 600 million capacity expansion investment of the chocolate factory in Szerencsi – said István Joó, CEO of HIPA, at the press conference held at Szerencsi Bonbon Kft. on Friday.
The CEO added that they are proud that the chocolate factory in Szerencs decided to invest even in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic. He emphasized that HIPA is ready to cooperate with the Szerencs chocolate factory in order to increase production capacity.
István Joó said that since 2014, HIPA has supported more than 120 projects in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, which contributed to the preservation of 30,000 jobs and the creation of more than 7,000. He called it a serious achievement that a Hungarian-owned company has been providing work and livelihood for the people living in the region for more than a hundred years.
