About 2.8 million hectoliters of new wine will be made this year
This year, 10 percent more than last year, about 2.8 million hectoliters of new wine will be made in the cellars – the president of the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) told MTI.
Tornai Tamás said that the harvest began in early August in Hungary, with the Csabagyöngye grape variety and is expected that the harvest ends in mid-October in Tokaj. The winegrowers will harvest about 420 thousand tonnes of grapes on 59 thousand hectares. (MTI)
