The 8th Belváros Beer Festival started with quality craft beers
For the eighth time, the Downtown Beer Festival will fill Szabadság Square in Budapest with beer from today until September 8. Visitors to the festival, which is supported by SPAR Magyarország, which distributes more than 300 types of beer, including 20 percent craft beers, can once again taste the specialties of domestic and international breweries this year.
At the 8th Inner City Beer Festival, around 50 beer stands and more than 10 gastronomic exhibitors are waiting for those interested from today until September 8 in Budapest’s Szabadság square. For the third year in a row, SPAR Hungary is supporting the realization of the event as the main sponsor.
SPAR helps craft breweries enter the market
“SPAR Hungary is committed to cultured beer consumption, which is why it supports the realization of the Downtown Beer Festival for the third year. More than 250 types of beer await fans in the gastronomic whirlwind. Our company currently offers more than 300 kinds of beers, among which the Hungarian small-scale craft beers are prominently featured, to a higher degree than the domestic average, the proportion of which is more than 20 percent today. Thanks to our Treasures of the Regions program, which supports small domestic entrepreneurs, a total of 16 products of five small-scale breweries were included in the product range in several regions of the country. And at the SPAR Sörház stand, visitors can taste the best beers on offer”
– said Márk Maczelka, head of communications at SPAR Hungary.
