Quality and innovation in the dairy industry
The KMÉ (Excellent Quality) certification on Alföldi Tej Kft.’s products is not only a mark of prestige but also a guarantee of high quality.
How does the KMÉ certification elevate Alföldi Tej’s products?
Since its establishment in 2003, Alföldi Tej Kft. has steadily expanded its activities, becoming one of the key players in the Hungarian dairy industry. Initially starting with 23 dairy farmers from Hajdú-Bihar County and processing 85 million liters of milk annually, the company has grown dynamically over two decades to process 240 million liters of milk per year. Alföldi Tej now operates two facilities, in Székesfehérvár and Debrecen, with its operations centered on using excellent milk produced by Hungarian farmers.
Producing high-quality products has always been a priority for the company, which has been recognized with the Excellent Quality Food (KMÉ) certification.
The significance of the KMÉ certification
“As we learned about the meaning of the logo and what it represents, it became clear to us that it symbolizes and represents higher quality. We felt that this certification expresses our mission to deliver the highest-quality products to consumers’ tables.”
– emphasized Csaba Lajos Hang, Managing Director.
The KMÉ certification involves strict requirements that guarantee reliable quality for consumers.
“Every product bearing the KMÉ certification must possess qualities that represent a higher level of standard compared to other products in the market. For milk, the essential component is protein content, with food codex requirements specifying a minimum of 2.9%. The KMÉ certification, however, demands a higher standard of 3.2%.”
– explained Andrea Kücsön, Quality Management Director.
Quality assurance in practice
Alföldi Tej Kft. ensures that its products meet the highest standards through rigorous quality control systems.
“Our systems are designed with continuous monitoring of product quality, oversight of hygiene processes, and self-inspection plans in mind. This means that we evaluate every raw material and finished product, and also conduct comparative tests with external laboratories.”
– stated Andrea Kücsön.
The role of the certification in daily operations
“The certification plays a crucial role in building our brand and increasing consumer trust. The KMÉ certification not only adds credibility to our products but also clearly enhances the prestige of our brands in the eyes of consumers and partners,” emphasized Csaba Lajos Hang. The certification encourages conscious consumers to prioritize products whose quality is guaranteed by the KMÉ logo.
Continuous development and sustainability
“The KMÉ certification continually motivates us to develop our product portfolio. It sends a clear message to partners and consumers that we are committed to quality and high standards.”
– stated the Managing Director. Considering sustainability, the company supports high-quality, environmentally conscious production methods.
The foundation of Alföldi Tej Kft.’s success lies in the milk produced by local Hungarian farmers, processed with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and innovation in collaboration with local employees to bring finished products to the tables of Hungarian consumers.
