Quality and prices in EU markets
Market Price Information System will serve to provide an outline of main markets trends for a specific product group in each issue of the magazine. Information will be available about the prices and quantities of agricultural products in the market. Data will be collected from merchants, and both wholesale and retail market places. Compiled information will be communicated to all market players through various mediums.
The price of meat is generally subject to quick fluctuations in European markets, monitored by AKI (Agricultural research Institute). At the moment, quality seems to be of secondary importance in the domestic swine market and price is the priority.
