Every bottle counts – hundreds of million forints raised from donations

More than HUF 230 million have already been donated through REpont machines. In the first phase of the programme Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute, Pediatric Clinic of Semmelweis University and Bethesda Children’s Hospital received financial support. The system’s popularity has been growing steadily since its launch: in the summer of 2025 there was a day when the number of returns exceeded 15 million.

Between 1 July and 31 December 2025 the REpont donation option serves a new purpose: donations will be distributed to disadvantaged children and families through three national aid organisations: the Hungarian Red Cross, the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta and the Hungarian Interchurch Aid.

The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta will use the money to improve temporary homes for families. The Hungarian Interchurch Aid runs several programmes to help disadvantaged children. The Hungarian Red Cross uses the funds to support families in need throughout the country. (x)
