Every fourth job was lost in German gastronomy
One in four jobs was lost in the German gastronomic sector compared to before the crisis, mainly in the low-paid categories, and replacement training also deteriorated, according to a report by the German Federal Statistical Office, Destatis.

The pandemic has also affected German gastronomy in terms of employment
Including part-time employment, the first ten months of 2021 saw 11.6 percent fewer jobs in the gastronomic sectors than in the same period of last year. The biggest decline was in February. Compared to the same period of 2019, the year not affected by the pandemic it is down by 23.4 percent. (MTI)
