Every second Nespresso coffee capsule is recycled in Hungary
Nespresso has been collecting used capsules in its Boutique in Hungary for more than 10 years.

According to the company, the take back rate was more than 50% in the first half of 2023, way higher than the company’s global estimated recycling rate of 28%. The collected capsules are taken to a processing plant in Debrecen, where they are sorted and dried in a slicing machine, before sending them to a shaking drum to separate the aluminium and the coffee grounds. //
