What challenges do modern filling stations need to face?
Having realised the changing face of customers needs, Shell will modernise the majority of their Hungarian petrol stations by 2020. Introducing the ‘deli by Shell’ brand also forms part of the company’s strategy: customers will find a revamped food and drinks selection in petrol station shops. Andrea Bujdosó, the Country Chair of Shell Hungary told: in line with the company’s global strategy, their plan is that by 2025 Shell Hungary’s retail business area will have to realise almost half of its revenue from non-fuel sales.
The new food selection has been compiled by celebrity television chef Fördős Z. The product selection may vary by filling station. Sales of the filling stations shops which have already reopened grew by up to 10 percent already in the first few months. (x)
