Czechs spend billions for their favorite pets every year
Czechs spend billions each year on their favorite pets, especially for dogs and cats.
The amount of money spent on cosmetics, veterinary care, or the use of special kennels of dogs, kittens and other family pets, supplemented by the purchase price of the animals, amounted to about 12.6 billion kronor per year (146.16 billion forints) – the Statistical Office, which provided the data in the August issue of Statistika & My professional journal.
The 12.6 billion crowns are roughly the same amount that the Czechs spend on annual car insurance. (Kokes János, MTI)
