Why is it important to have a packaging expert?
Delivery isn’t an obstacle any more
Meat company Kaiser Food Kft. commissioned DS Smith Packaging Hungary with designing a safe transportation packaging for their whole salami product. It was also a requirement to come up with a design that leaves the product intact and makes unpacking easy. We presented our ideas to Kaiser Food at a workshop in our PackRight centre. The end result was a revolutionarily new solution: a box that is open at the top, has a lid and inside is divided into compartments; the half-pallet packaging solution was made from recycled corrugated board.
Advantages:
- • Salamis don’t get deformed.
- • Safe packaging.
- • Safe transportation to export markets – right to the deli counter.
- • Fewer workers needed to do the packaging.
- • Easier and faster packaging and unpacking, increased efficiency.
The innovative packaging design increased Kaiser Food’s sales and reduced the business risk.
