Why the olympics? – A matter of principle
The Olympics organised for chefs enjoys more prestige in most European countries than in Hungary. As the premium coffee brand Lavazza was one the chief sponsors of this year’s event, it may seem natural that the Hungarian distributor of Lavazza was a sponsor of the Hungarian team. Nevertheless, we have asked Zoltán Tresó, owner of Trewex Kft, why he thinks it is a good idea to sponsor an event of disputed prestige. „With fifteen years of experience, I think I know a lot about the Hungarian catering sector and its problems. For me, the biggest concern is not that standards are incomparably higher in the elite restaurants of the West, but that the same is true on the Austrian side of lake Fertő. However, instead of bashing our catering sector, I think we should focus on building. This is my way of contributing to this effort.
