What is CECED?
CECED was founded by eleven manufacturers and distributors of household appliances in 2004. The founders were BSH Kft. (distributor of the brands Bosch, Siemens and Ufesa ), DOMETIC Rt., Electrolux Lehel Hűtőgépgyár Kft., Fagor Hungária Kft., Gorenje Budapest Kft., Groupe SEB Central Europe Kft. (Distributor of Tefal, Moulinex, Rowenta and Krups), HTM Nemzetközi Kereskedelmi Kft. (distributor of Liebherr and Solac), Indesit Company Magyarország Háztartástechnikai Kft., Miele Kft., Philips Magyarország Kft., and Whirlpool Magyarország Kft, while Candy Hoover Hungary Kft. and Beko Hungary joined in 2005. This is a non-profit organisation like European CECED(Conseil Européen de la Construction d’Appareils Ménagèrs). The biggest challenge for the organisation so far was establishing a system for collecting electric waste. ELECTRO-COORD Magyarország Kht. has been operating successfully in this field since 2005.
