Honey-case: HUngary must also go by EU-rules
Hungary is not permitted to use any other ingredients in honey-based products than what all 27 members of the EU are permitted to use. Endre Kardeván, state secretary of the Rural Development Ministry, responsible for food safety pointed these thoights out when adressing Hungarian honeymakers who were trying to pressure the EU to consider the possibility of adding extra safety rules to existing honey-rules. However, he adeed that there is no chance of antibiotic-poisoned honey to arrive to the HUngaroan market.
