Agricultural production prices: +1.2 percent
In July 2016 agricultural production prices increased by 1.2 percent from the level of July 2015. This rise was driven by the price of vegetable products growing by 1.2 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices increasing by 1.1 percent from the base period level. Compared with July 2015, the price of cereal crops augmented by 2.9 percent. Wheat’s price was down 18 percent but corn’s price was up 19 percent. Fruits cost 7.8 percent less and the price of vegetables rose 2 percent. Livestock’s production price increased by 5.1 percent, while products of animal origin cost 8.7 percent less.
