Mexico’s native drink conquers the world
The tequila is Mexico’s native drink. It is traditional there as the champagne in France, the sake in Japan or the pálinka Hungary. However, the tequila not only gave pleasure to the people of Mexico in 2014: but the demand towardf quality tequila has exploded at the international level, such as in the Far East.
For decades, the tequila was nothing more than a quick sip of alcohol with a pinch of salt and a slice of lemon. However, thanks to premium brands containing 100% blue agave such as el Jimador, the main component of cocktails and house parties has become the definition of sophistication. The exports of the Mexican drink last year reached a historic peak, crossing the psychological barrier of 1 billion USD.
