The sale of hollow chocolate figures may decrease
The turnover of Easter hollow chocolate figures, which amounted to 5 billion HUF last year, may decrease by more than ten percent – Sánta Sándor, president of the Association of Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers (MÉSZ) said at an online press conference.
The president added that this segment grew by 10 percent last year, compared to the year before. On the Hungarian market, about 800 tons of Easter hollow chocolate figures are consumed every year, which means a 60-gram chocolate rabbit and a 20-gram chocolate egg per capita. About 90 percent of the market is made up of chocolate rabbits and eggs, with more rabbits running out. (MTI)
