What are the trends of the dairy industry?
V4NA looked at trends in milk consumption and milk production in various European countries, including the Visegrád countries – origo wrote. Surveyed countries include Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Romania, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
In the V4 countries, there are major differences in the dairy industry and milk consumption.
In 2018, Poland’s milk production (all products included) reached 14 million tonnes, an increase of 2 percent, compared to the previous year. 85 percent of this quantity is processed, while 15 percent is consumed on farms or resold in local communities through informal ways. (origo)
