Terror attacks in Paris: a significant downturn in the hotel and catering industry
Three days after the terror attacks in Paris, the French capital's hotels and restaurants are experiencing a significant downturn.
In particular, the Asian and South American visitors postpone their trip to Paris, which indicates “difficult months” to the sector that slowly found impetus again after the terrorist attacks in January.
“Since Saturday a series of resignations occured in the hotel industry, and this can be expected in the next two to three months as well” – Didier Le Calvez, head of one of the most prestigious Parisian hotel, Le Bristol told France2 public television channel. The hotel manager expects at least a 30 percent downturn in the luxury hotel business during the Christmas period. (Venczel Katalin, MTI)
