Lifeline for farmers in trouble due to Bászna Gabona Zrt.

The Hungarian Government and the National Chamber of Agriculture, in every case, stand by the Hungarian farmers. Zsolt Papp, President of the NAK, therefore held talks with representatives of the Hungarian Government today about rescuing producers in trouble due to Bászna Gabona Zrt. Zsolt Papp indicated that the Hungarian Government – ​​as in so many situations, now too – stands by the Hungarian producers. Producers in trouble due to the bankrupt Bászna Gabona Zrt. can expect compensation. On this occasion, the president of the chamber is launching a broad information campaign towards the affected farmers, the chamber’s staff is collecting data on the producers damaged by Bászna Gabona Zrt., which the NAK will forward to the government. The president of the chamber emphasized that no Hungarian farmer in our country who produces high-quality food honestly and with hard work should be harmed. This is guaranteed by the long-term, reliable cooperation between the Hungarian Government and the NAK. Zsolt Papp added: farmers can always count on the Government of Hungary and the National Chamber of Agriculture. The goal is to provide all the help and support to those who work hard to provide our daily bread every day.
