Producer price of milk declined
Raw milk prices fell by 1 percent in January, compared to December and were 14 percent lower compared to the same month of the previous year ¬ the Agricultural Economics Research Institute published. In Hungary, the nationwide average producer price of milk was 77.91 HUF per kilogramme in January 2016.
In terms of volume, the purchase of raw milk in 2015 was 1 percent lower than in January 2016 and was 3 percent higher than in December 2015. According to the European Commission’s data, the purchase of raw milk increased by 4.3 percent in the first eleven months of the year in Hungary, compared to a year before. (by our colleague)
