In 2003, this was only 600. They saw many members return who had left earlier. They stay out of politics and focus on professional issues. A younger generation has taken over the leadership of the organisation. A sign of their international recognition is that they were able to host the European Congress of WACS and the final of the First Chef Competition of WACS in 2007. They have also qualified for staging the Hungarian phase of the 2008 Bocuse d’Or competition.
