Hot meal vouchers – 25 percent tax is a partial success
Food Voucher Distribution Association (EUFE) reckons as a partial succes that the Parliament instead of the nearly 100 percent tax, voted for a rate of 25 percent for the hot meal vouchers
The EUFE believes that the 10 percent taxation of hot meal vouchers would be an acceptable compromise, and hopes that the future decision-makers will reconsider the measure which affect millions of Hungarian workers adversely. The system of benefits over the past two decades, became a dominant part of the Hungarian economy.
The taxation of hot meal vouchers is not only affects 2.5 million workers, but puts a big impact on the Hungarian economy and on the whole catering sector – reports Világgazdaság Online.
