The professional implementation was carried out by the AKI Agricultural Economics Institute Nonprofit Limited Liability Company (hereinafter: AKI). The aim of the project was to improve the data collection processes related to fish management, which ensure the availability of the necessary data for the specialist administration and the European Commission. As a result of the project, AKI renewed the framework for domestic fish farming data collection and developed a more efficient data collection and analysis system. It also took an active role in sharing professional knowledge. A new national work plan was prepared for the period 2025-2027, which provides a basis for meeting future data needs. Among the project results, the increase in the efficiency of data collection also stands out, as a result of which a representative collection of economic and social data of fish farmers was developed. The results of the data collection will later help policy decision-making and thus contribute to better transparency of the fish farming sector. In addition, AKI also determined the annual per capita volume of domestic fish consumption and the production value of the fish farming sector for the given period. The project provided an opportunity to continue the previously popular practice of regularly surveying consumer fish prices. The data sets are available on the Agricultural Information Portal
